encalmo bowl

encalmo is the italian term for the technique used in creating this effect. In theory what happens is that two separate coloured bubbles are joined at the rim and formed into one bubble, which is blown up and shaped into a bowl or plate, resulting in a definite partition of colour. These pieces are unique as the colour combination vary, no two being the same colour combination.
